Hi everyone, we are so excited to present the Spring 2025 edition of The Linguist!

The theme this term was “Lullabies and Children’s Stories”, a deeply rooted subject found at the heart of cultures globally, shaping the way a society educates its infants. We have a wonderful selection of articles written in Spanish, Italian, Portuguese, French, Russian, German and Mandarin (English translation provided). The articles range from retellings of well-loved traditional tales such as Bella Venezia in Italian, to insightful analysis into the historical role of lullabies in parenting in China.
